WHO ARE WE?
WABSE was founded, in 1991, by six black administrators and educators in the New Rochelle School District. We are an affiliate of the National Alliance of Black School Educators and a Not-for-Profit, 501c3 and all volunteer organization. WABSE is the first NABSE official affiliate of Westchester County to implement the mission of NABSE and to convene black educators and others, directly or indirectly involved in the educational process, to discuss, strategize and implement solutions to the unique problems they and their students face.
